I love to read and watch great battle scenes! When I decided to write my fantasy book Rise of the Winged Assassin I realized that I needed to learn how to not only watch and read them but write them. Even practicing kenjutsu didn’t provide me with enough skill to put the movements on paper. After searching on Amazon I found an excellent book titled Writing Fight Scenes by Rayne Hall. In this book she examines and dissects actual fight scenes from movies and books. If you are writing fight scenes in your book, this is a must have.
