Finally the July 4th, Independence Day, weekend is here. I took an extra day off from work and drove up to our little cabin in the woods to unwind and have some fun with my sister and husband. Our largest rescue dog Taz is afraid of fireworks so coming up here is way better for him. There aren’t as many “fun bombs” going off out here and thankfully this year it’s on a weekend day so that we can get him out of the city.
Speaking of getting out of the city, the Covid-19 virus infection rate is soaring in Houston. So many people still won’t wear a mask and if they do wear them, they do not wear them properly. When we first got our rescue pups we we received a free set of training days with a company called Peace Love Dogs and on occasion they send us emails. Today they sent us an email with some pictures demonstrating how to properly wear a mask, with dogs as their models. This was too cute to not share!
